Alchemy is about taking something and magically changing it into something of
so much more value. How this is done has been the constant pursuit of the modern world.
To be the truest, most authentic version of ourselves is often what we hunger for yet struggle to grasp. Mostly because we don’t understand how to connect with ourselves, one another and all of which we are part.
It seems that there is in fact, an Art to finding this ability to live in an authentic way.
Perhaps it is finding and connecting to the truest part of ourselves, something that can be quite challenging in a society where its not taught or presented as valuable.
Taking time. Making space. Providing the right conditions for soul to want to show itself. Watching and listening intently as our inner wisdom emerges.
Transpersonal Art Therapy does just this; provides a safe container for soul to open and express. A creative approach to counseling based on Jungian psychology. Using meditation, mandalas, images and mark making to reflect upon, so that we can face ourselves, heal ourselves and make peace.
The radical act of having these conversations with ourselves and intentionally setting out to find a meaningful existence is both courageous and humbling.
Choosing to explore it in a creative way can be one way of answering the call when you hear it; a call back to wholeness and to alchemy.
