Dashville Skyline is a brand new Americana themed festival taking place in the Hunter Valley over the October long weekend, Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th October. The festival boasts a diverse range of around 30 internationally and locally known musicians. Along with great, alternative music, the festival throws in the best American cuisine, cars and culture.
This themed event is designed to embrace the developing Americana music scene in Australia. Celebrating not only the great music and culture that surrounds modern Americana, but also the traditional art of songwriting, and how many of the greatest songs ever written, help provide an identity to a somewhat forgotten genre.
"The line up is specifically designed to reflect the sparse musical lineage between traditional roots music and modern Americana" says event organiser Matt Johnston.
The event will be recorded live, packaged up on the spot and gifted to all the attendees at the conclusion of the weekend event as a super Dashville Skyline compilation to cruise home with. A momento to remember an awesome weekend of great music and vibes.
THE MUSIC
The second round of acts have just been released! Featured in this exciting festival is Shane Nicholson, 2 x ARIA Award-winner and one of Australia’s most prolific country songwriters. Equally as exciting is the inclusion of cross-over alt country/indie act Holy Holy, with their highly acclaimed debut album fresh on the shelves this week.

Other acts include West Australian Music (WAM) Country Song Of The Year winner Ruby Boots, ARIA award winner Matt Walker’s highly acclaimed new project Lost Ragas, prominent Australian songwriter Ben Salter and all the way from North Dakota, Leo Rondeau, an American singer-songwriter currently tearing up the Texas country music scene.
Previously announced acts in the first round include acclaimed Canadian act Bahamas, charismatic Australian alt-country heroes Wagons, delightful 4 piece songstress outfit All Our Exes Live in Texas, award winning artist Lachlan Bryan & The Wildes, genuine Texan psych-country act The Lonesome Heroes (USA) and the acclaimed local songwriter/performer Melody Pool.

LOCATED
Dashville is a bushland venue located at Belford in the Hunter Valley, a 50 minute drive from Newcastle and roughly 3 hours from Sydney. A natural bush paddock turned into a beautiful big arena and camping area all based around Matt Johnston's (and everybody else's) desire for live music events.
WHO CAN ATTEND
Dashville Skyline will be licensed all ages, which means you can bring your family. You will be able to have BYO in the campground but unable to bring it into the licensed festival area. Entry fees have been scaled to reflect this.
"It's evolving everyday, come October it's going to be amazing", says Johnston.
