No One Cares About Your Cat | The Civic Playhouse, Newcastle

Emerging artists from Tantrum Youth Arts are putting on a bold and playful performance that gives insight into the effects of social media on our lives. This performance will be at The Civic Playhouse, Newcastle starting Wednesday 16th September to Saturday 19th September, commencing at 8pm each night. Tickets are available now via Ticketek. The Lass O’Gowerie | Live Music on Wednesday nights

This Wednesday night The Lass presents four awesome acts from local musicians. Landmarks will be opening at 8pm. This emerging Newcastle band plays folk/blues music with influences from Bruce Springsteen, The Doors, Nick Cave and The Band.
Following acts include Wells, Faster Than Flight and Jono B. Smith. Come along to the Lass this Wednesday night to help support our talented local musicians!

Peter Pan | Pacific Park, Newcastle
The boy who hasn’t grown up is back!
Fly away to Neverland this September with the performance of Peter Pan, which will be performed in Pacific Park, Newcastle. This magical performance is presented by Hunter Drama, and has been re-imagined by Callan Purcell and composed by Christopher Harley.

This performance runs from Wednesday 16th September to Sunday 20th September with daily shows at 7:30pm. Tickets are $34 for adults, and $28 for students/concession. For tickets contact Box Office on 49291977 or visit the website.

Timeless Textiles | ‘Reflections of the Past’
Take a journey into the past this Thursday!
Timeless Textiles presents the creative works of Dutch artist Els Van Baarle in ‘Reflections of the Past’.

All of this work is based on memories and personal encounters from his recent visits to Japan and China.
This exhibition is this Thursday, 17th September from 6pm-8pm at Timeless Textiles, 90 Hunter Street, Newcastle. Tickets are available online at www.timelesstextiles.com.au.

Renew Newcastle | Creative Talks
Renew Newcastle is excited to announce that Newcastle-born stylist Lucy Tweed will be presenting the next Creative Talk.
Lucy happily admits that design and art flow in her blood. Lucy started her styling career as in-house stylist at Donna Hay Magazine that lasted eight years. The highlight of this journey was styling Oprah Winfrey’s ‘Welcome to Sydney’ party in 2010, which was Australia’s biggest tourism campaign for the US market.
