You could never complain that there is nothing happening in NEWCASTLE. Our fine seaside city is positively brimming with fun times & creative expressions. This weekend brings all the goods with gallery hopping, market meandering & musical madness. It’s always a good time.

Paint Like Bill | Gallery 139 | Saturday 19th Sept

Black and white, plus the real shades of grey in between! Gallery 139 is hosting a very special exhibition opening entitled ‘PAINT LIKE BILL’ at 2pm this Sat 19th Sept. The group exhibition will show artworks inspired by Australian artist William Dobell. Gallery 139 is located in Hamilton at 139A Beaumont Street. Amanda Davies & Sharon Williams | Nanshe Studio Gallery | Saturday 19th Sept
After you've had your fill at Gallery 139, why not pop over the road to Nanshe Studio Gallery for a peep at their new artistic offerings. Amanda Davies & Sharon Williams bring their juxtaposing talents to create a show of contrast. One artist uses icons and patterns to create provoking works while the other reflects on the quiet bush landscapes. We'll let you discovers who's who!
The show opens 3pm on Saturday.

Become a hunter and gatherer of local high quality handmade delights. The Hunt&Gather Market goodies are open for capturing this Saturday the 19th of September, at Pacific Park, Newcastle East, perfectly located near the beach. Enjoy a relaxing picnic with delectable food and an ice-cold beverage. We'll be there distro-ing some papers too. Come say hi!

Lore & Order | Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery | All Weekend Long
Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery, in partnership with the Aboriginal Reference Group is proud to present Lore & Order. See artworks that Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal school students have created which represent the NSW missions, reserves and stations.
It's the perfect spot for a Sunday relax.
