Tuesday 3rd November | Word Hurl Anti Slam | Godfrey Tanner Bar
Tuesday boasts a night of performance poetry from the Anti Slam movement- anyone can participate! You can sign up on the night and there’s bar vouchers on offer as prizes for the most creative and imaginative contributions. All of the fun and games is held at Godfrey Tanner Bar at the University of Newcastle.

Thursday 5th November | Annual Student Art Prize "Blueprint" | Northumberland House

Thursday the 5th of November will be the opening of the Annual Student Art Prize for 2015 called Blueprint. This will be the first exhibition in the new Watt Space gallery since their relocation to Northumberland House. During the evening a $2500 traveling scholarship will be awarded to one of UoN's talented students. {an event not-to-miss}

Thursday 5th November | MOJO JUJU | The Small Ballroom

Friday 6th November – Sunday 8th November | THE LIVERPOOL PLAINS "Harvest Festival against Shenhua" | The Liverpool Plains ("West Garawan") near Gunnedah
The Liverpool Plains "Harvest Festival against Shenhua" is a family friendly weekend aimed at bring people together to protect the food bowl & cultural heritage from Shenhua's mega coal mine. The weekend celebrates Australian farmland, water & cultural heritage. Farmers, Gomeroi traditional owners & community members from the Liverpool Plains & the North West NSW region will be joined by supporters, young and olg, from the city & the coast, from across NSW & beyond. Saturday 7th November | WOMEN OF HERITAGE | The Emporium
Women of Heritage is a self-directed projected developed and delivered by multidisciplinary and community artist Maddalyn Ward, founder of Earthylink. This project involves 24 culturally diverse women who have each created visual story lines on individual facemasks, interpreting aspects of their heritage and identity. This project will be launched this Saturday 7th November at 3-5pm at The Workroom Gallery, The Emporium, Hunter street Newcastle.

Saturday 7th November | RIGASAURAS | The Hamilton Station Hotel

Rigasaurus are excited to announce the release of their debut single/EP ‘Swim’. Sunday 8th November | The Movember Market | The Edwards

This Sunday night The Impossible Market will be going all manly to raise awareness for men’s health and support Movember. At this official mo party, you will find a whole lot of products from pop-up shops, a bar serving delicious mojitos, and of course there will be plenty of delicious food such as Mexican sliders and BBQ chicken.
