Creative Director of Pocket Design (& Follower cover fella) Brett Piva has been working hard to bring an all new event to Newcastle that supports local and international creatives.
MAKEit Creative Conference, to be held at one of Newcastle's newest co-working spaces- 754 Collaborative Workspace, is a week long event focusing on the What, Why and Where of professional creative makers working locally and abroad.
Over 2 evenings in November (10/11), eight selected professional Australian and International creatives will present their process, experience and knowledge of their desired crafts.
The incredible line up of creative makers consisting of an American Sign Painter, French paper sculpter and some local Australian Designers, Fine Artists, Sculptors and Fashion-makers that are sure to bring an exciting and informative presentation.
You'll get to sample some fine eats supplied by a collaboration between Casa De Loco and Ash Hays of For My Senses as a pre event meet and greet. This all happens on one of the city's most spacious secret rooftops!
A series of Master Classes will also take place over the week to gain a hands on experience for anyone to participate. Each short course or full day workshop will be hosted by a large range of creative makers from Traditional Sign Painters to Modern Paper sculptors.
